My Mission Statement
My mission is to build lasting connections with people by being a good listener, paying attention to detail, and being someone they can count on. In my work, I always strive to put all my effort into every project or assignment, no matter how big or small to showcase my dedication. Most of all, I want to leave a positive impact everywhere I go.
Why Sales?
Why sales? After working in the service industry for the past five years, I have learned that sales isn’t for everybody and it takes a specific type of person to be successful in sales. What attracts me to sales and keeps me motivated to go to work every day is knowing that the harder I work, the better results I will get and, in turn, the more successful I will be in my role. When it comes to sales my biggest strength is being a good listener. This is a great quality to have because by listening to customers’ needs I can make personal connections with them and help them solve their problems in a timely manner. I chose a sales track because I love being able to help people and that is all that sales is: understanding people’s needs and meeting them with the product or service you provide.
Creative. Diligent. Hardworking. Dependable. Persevering.
The Professional Selling Program
UCF’s Professional Selling Program is a program offered to College of Business students that prepares students for a future career in sales through sales training and preparation. Throughout the program, students develop effective sales techniques, relationship-building and communication skills, and gain hands-on experience through real-world sales exercises. The Professional Selling Program is highly competitive, demanding, and requires hard work to help students become successful upon graduation. I am so grateful to be a part of this program and can’t wait to see how it will continue to develop my selling skills moving forward.
Testimonials
Tori Snoddy
Vice President of Operations at RISE (Rising Insurance Star Executives)
During her internship with RISE, Rachel quickly established herself as a dependable, thoughtful, and proactive member of our team. She supported both our marketing and sales initiatives with professionalism and a genuine willingness to learn, consistently looking for ways to contribute beyond the tasks assigned to her.
One of Rachel's greatest strengths is her ability to view projects through the eyes of our target audience. As we developed campaigns focused on students and early-career professionals, she provided valuable feedback that helped us refine our messaging and better connect with the people we serve. She wasn't afraid to share ideas, ask insightful questions, or offer a fresh perspective, and those contributions made a meaningful impact on our work.
Rachel approaches every opportunity with curiosity, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude. She is organized, eager to take on new challenges, and receptive to feedback, using it to continuously improve. Throughout her internship, she demonstrated excellent communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members across different functions.
I have no doubt that Rachel will continue to excel in the Professional Selling Program at UCF and in her future career. She has the drive, emotional intelligence, and initiative to succeed in any professional environment, and I recommend her without hesitation.

Older brother, PSP graduate, Insurance adjuster
I have known Rachel her entire life and for as long as I can remember she has always been the smartest person in the room. She has a natural ability to lead by example, and she approaches every challenge with the right mindset and a strong work ethic.
Rachel is incredibly ambitious, and that drive is evident in both her academic success and her ability to balance school with what is essentially a full-time job. What stands out most about Rachel is not only how intelligent and capable she is, but also the dedication and perseverance she brings to everything she does. I have watched her grow into an impressive young woman, and I am excited to see what the future holds for her.
Stephanie Thomas
Teacher, Avalon Elementary, OCPS
I have known Rachel Perry since she was a young child. She was my student in elementary school. I have instructed many students over the years, but Rachel is the student who truly stood out and shined. As a student, she was kind, a diligent worker, she excelled and she got along very well with everyone. She was a teacher’s dream and the type of student everyone wishes for. I knew that she had a bright future ahead of her.
Throughout the years, Rachel continued to come back to help me as she volunteered on a weekly basis. Her attention to detail, her work ethic, her energy, and her integrity is unlike any student I have ever known. While she volunteered for me throughout high school, she was also taking a full course load, excelling academically, involved in student government and other extra-curricular activities as well as working a job. She is highly organized and is very conscientious. She excels in everything she does and more importantly, she is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Any organization would be incredibly fortunate to have Rachel. You do not meet many people like Rachel, and I cannot recommend her enough.
